    Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising

Pay per click advertising means that a search engine shows paid links first when searched for those keywords the customer has defined. There are hundreds of companies offering pay per click (PPC) advertising.

This kind of advertising started with 'Overture', nowadays known as 'Yahoo! Search Marketing'. Since Google's 'AdWords', popularity of pay per click advertising has risen and brings a revenue of several billion dollars for search engines.

For those not familiar with paying for advertising, this is not a real must to make your website go up with the traffic but it will have a clear impact. Think that your link was among the first ones in the list with the couple others paying and you get your website visible to all the masses.

In my humble opinion it could be said that if your website isn't getting any more popular after this kind of advertising, there must be something wrong about the website.

    How Much Does it Cost?

It depends on the keywords you choose. Certain keywords cost more, even up to many bucks and if you choose many, it will cost even more. But hey, not a billion people have to see your links right away. A click is valuable click whether it was from most popular keywords or some not so popular.Besides you can choose multiple low-costing but still traffic-gathering keywords!

Means of Controlling Costs in Your PPC campaigns

You must be careful not to spend all your money because the clicks can pile up very fast. Use the possible tool coming with the service. For example Yahoo! and Google have their tools to research keyword costs.

On the side with the tools estimating keyword cost, both Yahoo! and Google offer a budget limiter. This simply means that you can determine the very accurate amount you want to spend on clicks daily.

What if Someone is Fraud Clicking my Ads?

Because of all the time evolving technologies, the possibility of getting abused is minimal. This is a good reason to stick up to the trusted and reviewed service providers like Google and other big ones.

    Offline World Advertising

Offline advertising means advertising in other places than Internet. This is a rather exotic advertising method but I'll list it in here, it's advertising after all. If you seem to have a rush of traffic and already get some extra income into your website, you could try one of these out.

There are three good offline mediums for advertising...

    Printing
This category includes things like flyers, classified ads, magazine ads, and billboards, just use your imagination and you can actually go with a cheap budget. Something to try first could be classified ads section, find out which magazine offers the best prices. I know that classified ad prices are usually under $20, I have heard about classified ads for just $1.

    Things to remember here:

    1) Offer something special. To thrill the readers, offer them something for cheap or a status like superior knowledge about the topic if they pay a visit to your website. The main point is to create the illusion about something very needed.

    2) Point out the website. And do it clearly. If you want to make sure you are remembered better, print your address with big font.

    Radio
Even though radio commercials can be more expensive, you can go for a bulk price. One of the benefits of a radio advertisement is that you can choose the target group because radio channels have pretty strict listener group.

    Things to remember here:

    1) Make it simple and clear. Something that 'strikes' is effective

    2) Ask them to visit. The main point is to get traffic, as from my own experience I wouldn't even think about visiting a website said in a radio commercial without someone asking me to do it.

    3) Repeat the URL. You want to be memorable, say the address couple of times, preferably the last thing the people hear is your address.

    Television
Television commercials don't have to be too pricy, your favorite TV channel can offer ads for a bulk price and show them locally when not millions but tens of thousands people can see the ad. More seconds your ad goes on, more it costs. As with radio channels, you can strike to the heart of your target group.
