    Bad and Evil SEO Techniques

Nowadays search engines are very fine pieces of technology. They can detect things they don't want people to see and can filter the relevant pages out of the non-relevant. Especially Google is known for their ability to filter pages and offer their clients more and more better content. If a website gets caught for artificially trying to improve rating, it usually has very negative impact or can get banned very soon.

    The Evil SEO Techniques

I am saying that never use these techniques (at least on purpose). They are pathetic attempts to draw visitors to a page that couldn't make it well. If someone really does have to rely on these techniques because they couldn't create good content, they should study more or leave the whole business.

Keyword spam: Writing masses of keywords with colors hard to see such as white text to white background is an old trick. In fact it doesn't have to be anything about colors. The text can be sized to font 1 or placed in weird places.

Another way is to spam keywords or badly related keywords between the head tags. This is why beginners should be careful while planning their keywords.

This actually just makes the visitors mad because they were presuming to land on a good page but see that it's just about some random things. A glance to the source code can reveal the whole scheme.

Ultimate Linking: Some websites farm their links around. Actually sometimes they are purely made of links to other sites. The goal of this is to rise the search engine ranking.

Ad Spam: Also spreading all kinds of affiliate program links everywhere hoping that someone comes in and clicks an them is ridiculous. These kinds of websites have no real informative purpose.

Over-submitting website: If you keep submitting the website over and over again to directories or search engines, they will simply start ignoring you.

Duplicating text: Nobody likes if someone starts copying else's text completely, not even Google and other engines. Some citates or few authorized copies of articles might be OK but the search engines detect too much of duplicate content, they will be penalizing you.
