    The worst has happened, you have a brilliant e-commerce website with many many products and low prices but nobody knows it. "Worst thing to happen is nothing."

    1) Advertise it

    What else could be more effective when done right? Go for Google's AdWords and get your campaign running, it has an impact if you just can get your keywords right.

    Not only online is allowed, try offline world advertising. Put cheap classified ads on newspapers.

    2) Write another, content rich website

    This is weird but so true. Write articles, blogs, tutorials or actually anything with content about the topic of products being sold, alot of quality content is a very good thing to have. Promoting only a store with the products can be hard.

    I would say that you should build a separate website for your articles before the store and eventually link that website to your store.

    This brings you more keywords in the eyes of the search engines which means traffic to the informational website and potential buyers going through the link to store.

    3) Try viral marketing

    If you are into all kinds communities like forums for example. Write and review things in them, and put your link to the signature. People see your link and it also gets seen by search engines, inbound links are important.

    4) Newsletter

    Write a newsletter for your subscribers. Send them offers and notes about new products. You should also send topic related tutorials and courses to make yourself not to sound like a sales pitch machine.
